Key Requirements Elicitation Skills

Overview
Course 254 - 2 Days

Software development projects fail at a spectacular rate. Even when they don't fail, they usually take longer than expected, and cost more than anticipated. Many of the major reasons for failure all come back to the same issue: Poor interpersonal communication. That's why it's critical for developers or anyone responsible for communicating with users or stakeholders to take this course.

The goal of this workshop is to help people involved in process improvement and requirements analysis to gain new techniques and improve their existing interviewing and workshop facilitation skills. It teaches the fundamentals of interpersonal communication that will make interviews and meetings more productive. The attendees will learn about different interviewing styles and when to use them, how to prepare for the interviews, essential listening skills, and types of questions and interaction that will involve the listener and result in productive sessions.
