Project Management
for Business Analysts
Overview

Course
202– 1
Day
|
Well-defined requirements and sound agreement on what is specified,
built and delivered are keys to a successful project. At the outset
of a project, Business Analysts work closely with Stakeholders,
the Project Manager and the Development Team to help define the
vision and the scope of the project. As the project progresses,
the Analyst continues to play a significant role by keeping the
communication flowing between stakeholders, project management
and the development team.
Analysts typically come from development and/or from business
functional areas. Their project management knowledge and experience
is usually limited. This workshop is designed to provide the Analyst
with practical knowledge of the project management life cycle,
so they can fulfill their role and especially work more effectively
with project managers.
In the initiation stage of the project, the Analyst plays one
of the key roles in scope definition. Scope creep is one of the
most
common project risks, and the Analyst is in a good position to
identify, negotiate and help manage scope changes. In addition,
many other project management risks are directly related to inadequate
requirements processes. In this workshop the Analysts will learn
what are the analysis related risks and what are their solutions.
